Gehl 650 and 750 Articulated Loaders Earn Equipment Today Award

Named to Contractors' Top 50 New Products List for 2017

Gehl AL560 and AL750

WEST BEND, Wis. (Sept. 29, 2017) - The Gehl 650 and 750 Articulated Loaders (AL650/AL750) have been selected as one of the favored new construction products of 2017 by Equipment Today, a nationally recognized equipment magazine serving commercial construction contractors.

The editorial teams from Equipment Today and ForConstructionPros.com compiled product inquiries, web page views and inquiries from new products featured in Equipment Today over a 12-month period from May 2016 to April 2017. The result is the 2017 Contractors' Top 50 New Products, a listing of the industry's favored products. Winning products represent the leading edge of innovation, quality, efficiency and productivity in the construction equipment field today.

"The success of the Gehl AL650 and AL750 can be attributed to the global collaboration within Manitou Group's cross functional development team," said Paul Gilbert, engineering manager of articulated wheel loaders for Manitou Group. "Engineering and sourcing resources from our locations in France and the United States worked closely with the marketing team and loyal customers to develop a machine for the global market.  This collaboration was critical to create strategic supplier alliances and develop a cost effective machine that meets the needs of varying markets."

The AL650 and AL750 machines were released in June 2017, bringing a larger wheel loader with extra capacity and high breakout forces to the market. The loaders weigh in at four to five metric tons and represent an expansion into the 60-80 horsepower class size. They boast a larger engine, higher horsepower, digital instrumentation display, Power-A-TachTM Attachment Mounting System and multi-function joystick. The AL650 and AL750 are ideal for construction, agriculture, municipal and rental applications. With articulated steering, turning angles up to 45-degrees and travel speeds up to 19 mph (30 km/hr), these powerhouses deliver excellent maneuverability and fast work cycles. As North America's largest manufacturer of compact wheel loaders, Gehl customers also benefit from the convenience and cost savings of a local manufacturer.

"Contractors evaluating equipment acquisitions will find the Contractors' Top 50 New Products crucial to their decision-making process," asserted Becky Schultz, Equipment Today editor. "To compete in today's market, contractors need the types of features and capabilities these unique and innovative new products have to offer."
